Spurs NBA Final Shirt
This passion project was inspired by the Spurs 2026 NBA Finals appearance and the bootleg merchandise sold all around San Antonio. I wanted to design a shirt for my family and friends could to wear together that was not designed by AI and when watching the games.
The Idea
I set out to create my own take on the bootleg shirts being sold during this time. I wanted to design a bold large print shirt highlighting Victor Wembanyama using his nickname.
The Design
It was natural to to pick Victory Wembanyama as the focus of this shirt. I chose to halftone his face to simplify colors and knockout any white areas to help the print look better on a shirt. The 819 is a subtle nod to my grandparents house which made this shirt unique to my family and friends.
Made to Wear
The finished graphic was pressed by me onto blank white shirts and given to family and friends. The graphic was carefully considered and was proudly worn to watch parties. This shirt not only celebrated the Spur’s Final run but also turned this moment into something tangible and personal.
